Diagnosing before replacing
A loose tile is usually a substrate or movement problem, not a tile problem. Before anything gets pulled up, that gets checked, because replacing the tile without fixing what moved underneath it just buys the same repair again next year.
Sometimes the honest answer is that the original tile is discontinued and cannot be matched exactly. When that happens, we talk through the real options with you rather than force a mismatched patch into a bathroom that used to look uniform.

Material by material
Ceramic, porcelain, slate, travertine and granite do not cut, set or seal the same way. A stone tile needs different handling than a fired ceramic one, and treating them the same is how a repair job ends up looking worse than the crack it was meant to fix.

Aftercare after a tile repair
